【摘要】:ThispartofISO/IEC7811isoneofaseriesofstandardsdescribingthecharacteristicsforidentificationcardsasdefinedinthedefinitionsclauseandtheuseofsuchcardsforinternationalinterchange.ThispartofISO/IEC7811specifiesrequirementsforahighcoercivitymagneticstripe(includinganyprotectiveoverlay)onanidentificationcard,theencodingtechniqueandcodedcharactersets.Ittakesintoconsiderationbothhumanandmachineaspectsandstatesminimumrequirements.CoercivityinfluencesmanyofthequantitiesspecifiedinthispartofISO/IEC7811butisnotitselfspecified.Themaincharacteristicofthehighcoercivitymagneticstripeisitsimprovedresistancetoerasure.ThisisachievedwithminimalprobabilityofdamagetoothermagneticstripesbycontactwhileretainingreadcompatibilitywithmagneticstripesasdefinedinISO/IEC7811-2.Thisstandardprovidesforacardcapacityofapproximately10timesthatofacardconformingtoISO/IEC7811-6.Thenumberoftrackshasbeenincreasedto6,eachtrackbeingapproximatelyhalfthewidthoftracksconformingtoISO/IEC7811-6,locatedsothatreadersdesignedtoreadthesehighdensitytrackswillalsobeabletoreadcardsconformingtoISO/IEC7811-2andISO/IEC7811-6.Dataisencodedin8bitbytesusingtheMFMencodingtechnique.Dataframingisusedtolimiterrorpropagationanderrorcorrectiontechniquesfurtherimprovereliabilityofreading.Itisthepurposeofthisseriesofstandardstoprovidecriteriatowhichcardsshallperform.Noconsiderationisgivenwithinthesestandardstotheamountofuse,ifany,experiencedbythecardpriortotest.Failuretoconformtospecifiedcriteriashouldbenegotiatedbetweentheinvolvedparties.ISO/IEC10373-2specifiesthetestproceduresusedtocheckcardsagainsttheparametersspecifiedinthispartofISO/IEC7811.NOTENumericvaluesintheSIand/orImperialmeasurementsysteminthispartofISO/IEC7811mayhavebeenroundedoffandthereforeareconsistentwith,butnotexactlyequalto,eachother.Eithersystemmaybeused,butthetwoshouldnotbeintermixedorreconverted.TheoriginaldesignwasmadeusingtheImperialmeasurementsystem.
